site.btaMetropolitan Gregory of Vratsa to Officiate Easter Service in Sofia’s Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

The Easter service at Sofia’s St Alexander Nevsky Patriarchal Cathedral will be led by Metropolitan Gregory of Vratsa, Locum Tenens of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, the Bulgarian Patriarchate said in a press release Saturday.

The service is scheduled to start at 11:30 pm on Saturday. The Holy Fire brought to Bulgaria from Jerusalem last year will be used during the Easter service. The Holy Synod decided against travelling to Jerusalem this year due to the tensions in Israel.
