site.btaGovernment Approves Draft Cooperation Agreement with WHO Regional Office for Europe

The Council of Ministers Friday approved a draft Biennial Cooperation Agreement between the Bulgarian Health Ministry and the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe for the period 2024-2025. The total budget of the Agreement amounts to USD 200,000. The funding has been allocated by the WHO for the cooperation of the Regional Office with Bulgaria.

The project, according to the national context, identifies priority areas for collaboration, including universal health coverage for all; better protected people in health emergencies; more people in good health and well-being; and a more effective and efficient WHO providing better support to countries.

The planned activities with WHO are a function of the Organization's global and regional policies and their application at the national level is in line with Bulgaria's national health priorities.
