site.btaCC-DB Co-Leader Petkov: Bulgaria Cannot Have Normal Governance While Boyko Borissov Obeys Delyan Peevski

From now on Bulgaria cannot have a normal governance, if GERB leader Boyko Borissov's dependence on Movement for Rights and Freedoms leader Delyan Peevski is not interrupted, Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) co-leader Kiril Petkov told journalists in Parliament here on Friday.

Lena Borislavova, former chef de cabinet in Kiril Petkov’s government, also told bTV earlier on Friday that GERB is actually headed by Peevski.

Delyan Peevski is suffocating Boyko Borissov, said Petkov. If GERB supporters want their party to have a normal governance and to be a part of the European governance, they should get rid of Peevski's influence on Borissov, Petkov added.

Rosen Zhelyazkov would not have violated the Constitution and the rules if he had free will, Petkov commented on Zhelyazkov's removal as Parliament chair. In his words, Zhelyazkov was acting on Peevski and Borissov's orders when breaking the rules.

Petkov believes that Delyan Peevski does not wish to give up the power in the prosecutor's office, in the regulators, in the judiciary and everywhere. CC does not wish to control these bodies, but wants fair competitions to be held there.
