At an extraordinary sitting starting at 10:00 Tuesday, Parliament will discuss a draft decision in relation to the presidential decree, which proposes that the National Assembly elects as prime minister the candidate proposed by the first-largest parliamentary group, and the statement submitted Monday by Mariya Gabriel that she will not participate in the parliamentary procedure for electing a prime minister and will not propose a structure and composition of the Council of Ministers. This is the only item on the MPs' agenda.
The meeting was convened by Parliamentary Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov on Monday, after GERB-UDF deputy Floor Leader Temenuzhka Petkova submitted a draft parliamentary resolution.
