1920: Bulgaria joins International Labour Organization 20 months after its establishment.

1958: Georgi Damyanov Copper Works (today's Aurubis Bulgaria) goes into operation in Pirdop (Central Bulgaria).

1990: Bulgaria establishes top-level diplomatic relations with the Holy See, with Apostolic Nunciature in Sofia and Bulgarian Embassy in Vatican City.

2006: Parliament adopts Act on Access to the Records of the State Security and the Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian People's Army for the Period from September 9, 1944, to July 16, 1991.
