Interior Minister’s chef de cabinet Vassil Krastev has resigned, the Interior Ministry said. 

Krastev reasoned that he does not want to be involved in a political scandal attacking the Interior Ministry. Krastev believed that he had unfairly been connected to persons and events and is leaving the Interior Ministry not to hinder the ongoing work. 

Since 1994 Krastev has served with the Interior Ministry and has been recognized many times for his work by the Interior Minister and the State Agency for National Security chairman.
