Parliament on Friday failed to secure quorum twice. Seventy-nine MPs registered during the second attempt, out of the required 121 MPs.

Parliament Speaker Rosen Zhelyazkov scheduled the next sitting for 9 am on Wednesday.

One MP each registered from GERB-UDF and Vazrazhdane, 55 from Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria, 21 from BSP for Bulgaria, and one independent MP.

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms and There Is Such a People were absent from the second registration.

After two unsuccessful attempts the parliamentary sitting failed due to absence of quorum. MPs were supposed to take a revote on a motion for no-confidence in the cabinet of Nikolay Denkov over its failure in the defence policy.
