Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will confer with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, who will pay a working visit to Bulgaria together with the permanent representatives to the North Atlantic Council, the Government information service said Thursday. On November 10, they will visit the Novo Selo training area and observe demonstrations within the Iron Strike 2023 exercise of the Bulgaria-hosted multinational battle group, led by Italy.

The exercise is conducted in accordance with the plans for the preparation of the multinational battle group established in line with the measures for strengthening NATO's deterrence and defence capabilities aimed at ensuring the security of the Eastern Flank member states.
