site.btaNatural Persons Contribute BGN 2.2 Mln-Plus for October 29 Local Election Campaign

Natural persons have made 1,091 contributions for the October 29 local election campaign amounting to a total of BGN 2,268,115 (of which BGN 2,224,149 in cash contributions and BGN 43,966 in non-cash contributions), the Bulgarian National Audit Office (BNAO) reported on Tuesday.

The information comes from the Single Public Register that BNAO keeps and shows the contributions made so far.

According to the register, candidates in the elections and members of independent candidate nomination committees self-financed 1,796 contributions amounting to BGN 2,522,782 (of which BGN 2,047,862 in cash contributions and BGN 474,920 in non-cash contributions).

The entrants in the local elections have until December 8, 2023 to submit to BNAO a report on the financial resources raised and spent and the payment obligations assumed in connection with the election campaign. If the entrants have reached a second round of voting, the deadline for submission of the report is December 15, 2023.
