site.btaStudent Scholarships Increase

Scholarships for students of state universities are increased. Their minimum monthly amount is raised from BGN 85 to BGN 120. The maximum scholarship of 180 BGN is now 200 BGN. The increase takes effect retroactively from July 1, 2023.

This is foreseen by the amendment and supplement to the decree on the conditions and procedure for granting scholarships to students, doctoral students and postgraduate students of state higher education institutions and scientific organizations adopted by the Council of Ministers.

For the payment of the increased scholarships, BGN 6 million have been provided by the Budget Act.
