Seventeen people were arrested in a law-enforcing operation against vote buying in the Burgas Region, on the Black Sea coast, on Monday. The operation is underway in the municipalities of Burgas, Sungurlare and Ruen, said the head of the Security Police with the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior. Fourteen arrests were reported early in the morning and three more around noon.

Seven pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.

Police said that more details will be clear after the operation is completed.
