site.btaBulgarian Acting Prosecutor General Holds Working Meeting with Turkish Counterpart

A Bulgarian delegation led by Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov held a working meeting with Turkiye’s Prosecutor General Bekir Sahin in Ankara, the Bulgarian Prosecution Office said on Tuesday. The highlight of the meeting was the excellent operational cooperation between both countries’ prosecution services in criminal matters, including countering organized crime, terrorism, human and drug trafficking.

The exchange of experience between Bulgarian and Turkish prosecutors in investigation and terrorism financing was also discussed.

The Bulgarian delegation also held a working meeting with Turkiye’s Deputy Justice Minister Yilmaz Hasan, who shared his country’s experience in the fight against terrorism. Hasan stressed that cooperation between countries is key to terrorism counteraction.

Sarafov conveyed his appreciation to Hasan for the fruitful cooperation with the Turkish authorities and expressed confidence that it will continue in the future.
