The land forces of the Bulgarian Army organised the first training course for operators and users of information from ultralight drones, the Defence Ministry said on Friday. The course was held at the 61st Stryama Mechanised Brigade - Karlovo on August 16-18. Servicemen from the 3rd Brigade Command - Blagoevgrad, 5th Brigade Command - Pleven and 101st Alpine Regiment - Smolyan participated in the training. Instructors in the course were specialists with significant experience in the use of ultralight drones at home and abroad.

During the training, the participants worked on the tactics, techniques and procedures for the use of the ultralight UAVs introduced into the Army's formations.

The acquired knowledge contributes to enhancing the capabilities and skills of the personnel of the Land Forces for the use of modern means in the execution of operations under the three missions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria, the release said.
