Conditions for hiking in the mountains are good on Wednesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA. The weather is sunny and clear, it is quiet and there is good visibility. No precipitation is expected. The daily highs will be around 21C at 1,200 metres and around 13C at 2,000 metres above sea level.
Mountain rescuers advise tourists to check and monitor the weather forecast as a change in weather conditions is expected Thursday.
On Tuesday, a rescue operation was carried out to transport an injured 15-year-old boy under Vihren peak in Pirin mountain, who had fallen and injured his head.
The MRS noted that the number of injured tourists in the mountains has been increasing since the beginning of August.
