Kristian Vasilev placed 14th in the skiff race at the Olympic rowing tournament in Paris.
The 32-year-old Vasilev finished second in Final C with a time of 6:44.61 minutes. The race was won by American Jacob Plihal with 6:41.97 minutes.
The Bulgarian was running third for most of the 2,000m distance on the rowing canal in Verres-sur-Marne, but in the final 500m he moved into second position.
The final for the discipline is at 11:30 am.
Vassilev made his second appearance at the Olympics after finishing ninth in the double sculls at Rio 2016.
