More than 2,400 cases of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and more than 1,200 cases of driving after the use of narcotic substances, were registered in the first three months of 2023, said Commissioner Dimitar Michev, head of the Traffic Police Department at the National Police Directorate. At a BTA press conference, Michev presented a campaign, titled "Clearheaded behind the wheel", which started on Tuesday. He pointed out that in 32% of cases the use of both drugs and alcohol was detected.
