Bulgarian institutions have been in contact with Christo Grozev since before the media publications on the subject, and measures have been taken to ensure his safety, including through cooperation with partner services, the press secretariat of President Rumen Radev said in response to a BTA inquiry about the case, stressing that the head of State is monitoring the situation

Deputy Foreign Minister Protests Russia's Decision to Declare Bulgarian Journalist Wanted 

Deputy Foreign Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev expressed an official protest against the Russian Federation's decision to declare Bulgarian citizen Christo Grozev wanted, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday. Russian Ambassador: Journalist Christo Grozev Wanted Only in Russia

Grozev, a journalist of the international investigative website "Bellingcat", was declared wanted by Russia, TASS reported Monday. "He is wanted (for violating) an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the Russian Interior Ministry said in a statement.
