Traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo Border Crossing Point (BCP) on the border with Turkiye at the exit for trucks is heavy, the Border Police Directorate General of the Ministry of Interior reported. Temporarily, the passage through the Malko Tarnovo BCP is carried out on one route due to the reconstruction of the checkpoint. The information is as of 6 am on Tuesday.
Border Police remind that on March 27 the traffic on the Danube Bridge at Ruse will be suspended. In connection with the overhaul of the facility, the passage of passenger cars will be restricted for 12 hours, from 9 am to 9 pm on March 27, and of heavy goods vehicles for up to 24 hours, from 9 am on March 27 to 9 am on March 28.
On the Greek side of the Rudozem - Xanthi road construction works are taking place. The Greek authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is a construction site and that no outsiders are allowed on the site. Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the area of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
Traffic is normal at all border crossing points at the borders with North Macedonia and Serbia.
