Ankara, November 26 (BTA) - Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov is paying a working visit to Ankara at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Akarca, the prosecution service said on Monday.

On the delegation are Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and Tsvetomir Yossifov, head of the international department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecution Office.

The agenda will feature cooperation on penal matters and countering organized crime. Tsatsarov and Akarca will discuss an idea to establish a consultative forum of chief prosecutors from Balkan countries. The format aims to encourage and improve cooperation through regular meetings and exchange of good practices.

The Bulgarian delegation is scheduled to met with Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul and Supreme Court of Appeals President Ismail Rustu Cirit.

This will be the fourth meeting between the chief prosecutors of Bulgaria and Turkey after a cooperation agreement was signed in June 2014. LI/PP
