November 27 (BTA) - Bulgaria's Labour and Social Policy
Minister Bisser Petkov and Vietnam's Labour, Invalids and Social
 Affairs Minister Dao Ngoc Dung have signed a Memorandum of
Understanding between their ministries, Petkov's Ministry said
in a press release on Monday.

Under the document, the two institutions will deepen their
exchange of experience and good practices in labour policy,
active employment policy, vocational training of employees and
unemployed, and social protection and social assistance to
vulnerable groups. Bulgaria and Vietnam will also join efforts
in preventing unreported employment, managing labour migration,
health and safety at work, and the policy of increasing incomes
and combating poverty and social exclusion.

During their talks in Sofia, Petkov an Dao Ngoc Dung discussed
matters of shared interest, including opportunities for
vocational training of employees for the purpose of upgrading
the qualifications, knowledge and skills of the labour force. In
 this context, the sides considered an idea to establish a joint
 Bulgarian-Vietnamese centre for vocational personnel training.
Questions concerning the increase of incomes, the retirement
insurance system, labour migration and labour market demand were
 also on the agenda. RY/LG
