Sofia, December 4 (BTA) - An armed man who tried to enter the presidency building in downtown Sofia was arrested on Monday night, the Interior Ministry said. The security guards searched the 72-year-old man and seized a legal pistol with two rounds of ammunition. He told the guards he wanted to meet with President Rumen Radev, who was at a climate change conference in Katowice at the time.

The man who has a previous conviction for murder in self-defence owns several construction, security and fuel trade companies, bTV said on Tuesday. DD
