Sofia, December 29 (BTA) - The residents of Sofia and visitors will ring in the New Year at a traditional concert, called 'Stage Under the Stars', in Knyaz Alexander I Square, the Sofia Municipality said.

The 20th edition of this festive event is organized by the Sofia Municipality as part of its calendar of cultural events and will be broadcast on BNT 1 and BNT4 to domestic and foreign viewers. The concert will begin at 10 pm and will feature some of the most popular artists and acts such as the Sofia Wind Orchestra, Sedef folklore dance ensemble and ballet dancers Petya Koleva and Stefan Vuchov of Arabesque Dance Company.

A fireworks display is also planned.

Last year's concert was attended by over 30,000 people and was watched by over 1 million TV viewers.
