January 9 (BTA) - Ombudsman Maya Manolova has referred to
 the Constitutional Court a ban for retired persons to work as
civil servants.

The changes to the Civil Service Act ban pensioners from holding
 jobs in the public service, and thousands are about to be
dismissed. The changes were voted through the 2019 State Budget
Act.

According to Manolova, the changes violate the rule of law and
the constitutional and social rights to labour, remuneration and
 social security. RY/PP
