Housing prices in Bulgaria increased by 2.7% in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter (third quarter of 2024), the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on its website. The largest increase was registered in Ruse (8%), followed by the cities of Plovdiv (5.9%), Varna (5.1%) and Stara Zagora (4.5%).
In the fourth quarter of 2024, housing prices in the country increased by 18.3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
A NSI report indicated that in the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to the previous quarter, housing prices in the country increased by 1.2%. Then, the largest increase was registered in Stara Zagora (8.2%), followed by Burgas (6.3%) and Varna (1.7%). A decrease was reported in the cities of Plovdiv (0.5%) and Sofia (0.1%). In the fourth quarter of 2023, housing prices in the country increased by 10.1% on an annual basis.
