According to the leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning and chairman of the parliamentary group Delyan Peevski, the vote of no confidence initiated by Vazrazhdane will not succeed. He commented on the issue to journalists in parliament. "This is a waste of time," he added.

"There will be no elections soon, as you can see, this government cannot fall, with everything meaningful that has been done, with this budget, I will support it," Peevski said. "If we implement the things in this budget, they will have my support, if they do not happen, that is why you have seen that I tell both the National Revenue Agency and the Customs to wake up and start working," Peevski added.

On Monday Vazrazhdane announced that the party was submitting a vote of no confidence in the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov on the grounds of "systematic failure in the country's foreign policy". According to Vazrazhdane, instead of defending the national interest, the cabinet blindly follows the confrontational line of the liberal elite in Brussels, ignoring the desire of the Bulgarian people for peace, neutrality and dialogue.
