Traffic is normal at all border crossing points, the General Directorate of Border Police (DGBP) said on its website. The information is up to date as of 6 am Wednesday morning.

Crossing through the Malko Tarnovo border crossing point (BCP) at the border with Turkiye is temporarily carried out on one route due to the reconstruction of the BCP.

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points on the border with Serbia and North Macedonia.

On January 8, at the border with Romania, the works on the main repair of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse were resumed, therefore a temporary traffic organization was introduced and the traffic is in one lane, with a through traffic regime regulated by the employees of the contractor.

The bridge will be closed from 5 p.m. on March 6 until 5 a.m. on March 7. During this interval, neither cars nor trucks will be allowed to move in either direction. The aim is to avoid any vibration.

The same will happen at the end of the month from 5 p.m. on March 27 to 5 a.m. on March 28.

On the Greek side of the border with Greece, repairs are continuing on the Rudozem - Xanthi road. The Greek authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is a construction site and no outsiders are allowed to enter the premises, the Border Police said. Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the area of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
