UEFA Gives Levski
Green Light for European
Tournaments

Nyon, Switzerland, May 29 (BTA) - UEFA gave the green light for Levski to take part in European tournaments after the Bulgarian football club paid off a 1.04 million euro debt to the tax authorities, players, employees and other clubs.

In December 2018, Levski were faced with the prospect of being banned by the European governing body of association football from taking part in European tournaments for one season. The club had until the end of February to repay its liabilities. This was done after a change in the club ownership and the news was confirmed by UEFA.

Levski qualified for the Europa League after beating Etar 1-0 in a Bulgarian Premier League play-off on Tuesday. LY/VE
