Ambassador Dong said that the bilateral relations are excellent and that the active partnership in investments, agriculture, tourism, and culture should continue. He noted Bulgaria's exceptionally successful hosting of the "16+1" initiative between Central and Eastern European countries and China, during which the procedure of Greece's accession to the format was launched. In the Chinese Ambassador's words, Bulgaria plays a leading role in this initiative, as evidenced by the establishment of a 16+1 Global Partnership Centre in Sofia.
