Sofia, May 31 (BTA) - The Central Election Commission (CEC) Friday declared the names of the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) for Bulgaria elected on May 26, 2019. CEC Chair Stefka Stoeva read out the Commission's decision and handed certificates to the new MEPs.

GERB will have six MEPs, BSP for Bulgaria five, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) three, VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement two, and Democratic Bulgaria one.

Bulgaria will be represented in the new European Parliament by the following members (listed in Latin alphabetical order of their surnames):

1. Asim Ademov (GERB)
2. Atidzhe Alieva-Veli (MRF)
3. Angel Dzhambazki (VMRO)
4. Mariya Gabriel (GERB)
5. Ivo Hristov (BSP for Bulgaria)
6. Radan Kanev (Democratic Bulgaria)
7. Andrey Kovatchev (GERB)
8. Ilhan Kyuchyuk (MRF)
9. Eva Maydell (GERB)
10. Iskra Mihaylova (MRF)
11. Andrey Novakov (GERB)
12. Tsvetelina Penkova (BSP for Bulgaria)
13. Andrey Slabakov (VMRO)
14. Sergei Stanishev (BSP for Bulgaria)
15. Petar Vitanov (BSP for Bulgaria)
16. Elena Yoncheva (BSP for Bulgaria)
17. Alexander Yordanov (GERB)
