site.btaCentral Census Commission Adopts Census Programme 2021

June 5 (BTA) - The President of the National Statistical
Institute (NSI), Sergey Tsvetarsky, opened the first meeting of
the Central Census Commission (CCC) in the NSI building on
Tuesday, said the NSI. The Commission includes representatives
of government departments, the civil sector, research institutes
 and the media.

The CCC has adopted the Census Programme 2021, which will be
submitted for consideration to the Council of Ministers with the
 main stages and processes related to the preparation and
conduct of the census. Based on this, a detailed timetable will
be prepared for both trial and actual census activities.

Members of the CCC have also adopted procedural rules. The
Commission will meet at least once every six months and, if
necessary, hold extra meetings. Its decisions will be published
on the NSI website.

The President of NSI is also the chairman of the Central Census
Commission, which consists of 23 members. Silvia Georgieva,
Executive Director of the Bulgarian National Association of
Municipalities, is the CCC's Deputy Chair and the CCC Secretary
is Ivan Getov, Head of the Civil Registration and Administrative
 Service General Directorate at the Ministry of Regional
