Sofia, July 22 (BTA) - Eight out of 18 detained members of a drug trafficking organized criminal group, who also attempted the murder of prosecution officers, pled guilty and reached a deal with the prosecution, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office said.
The group's leader is Ivan Yosifov, son of Yossif Yosifov, known by the name Yosko Kostinbrodski. Stefan Gevgeliiski was his right-hand man. The two are accused of planning to murder two prosecutors from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office and an official from the Interior Ministry.
One of the detained men, Petko Stoyanov, did not plead guilty to the attempted murder and got sentenced to four years in prison. The rest, who pled guilty, received prison sentences between three and a half years and a year and a half. LY/DT
