site.btaNearly BGN 20 Mln Approved for Modernization of Schools, Sports Grounds and Student Dormitories

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved additional funds in the amount of BGN 19,991,816 for repairs, construction and modernization of schools, sports grounds, gyms and student dormitories, the press center of the Cabinet said.

The funds were provided for activities carried out in October and November under leading national programmes for improving the material base in educational institutions. These are the programmes for the construction, extension, upgrading and reconstruction of nurseries, kindergartens and schools, for the construction and major renovation of sports grounds and gyms in state and municipal schools, for the renovation, repair and furnishing of student dormitories provided for the management of state higher education institutions and student canteens and dormitories. Part of the funds will also ensure the completion of projects under the 2014-2020 Regions in Growth Operational Programmme.
