Vazrazhdane invited four other parliamentary forces to talks on Wednesday, November 20, the party’s press office reported on Saturday. The party proposed that the meetings be held at the National Assembly throughout the day in this order: BSP-United Left, There Is Such a People, Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria, and MECh. Vazrazhdane stated explicitly that GERB, Movement for Rights and Freedoms – New Beginning, and Alliance for Rights and Freedoms are not invited.

Vazrazhdane will be represented at the talks by its leader Kostadin Kostadinov, his deputies Tsoncho Ganev and Petar Petrov, and MPs Iskra Mihailova and Svetoslav Todorov.

Vazrazhdane and the four entities invited to the talks control a majority of 122 seats in the new 240-seat National Assembly, the party noted. “If all parties which have declared their intention to crush the corrupt governance model of thick-necks and oligarchs of GERB and the MRF support their words with deeds, there will be no obstacle to forming a regular cabinet without these Establishment parties,” Vazrazhdane argued.

The matter of electing a chair of the new National Assembly is to be addressed again on November 20 after the MPs made a third unsuccessful attempt on November 15.
