One person has died and at least nine people have been injured in a drone attack in Odesa Thursday night, Odessa regional administration leader Oleg Kiper said Friday on Telegram.

The victim is a forty-six-year-old man. Six of the wounded are hospitalized.

All emergency services are dealing with the aftermath of the night attack.

Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
