Voter turnout in the Bulgarian early parliamentary elections is 9.55% as at 11 a.m. local time on Sunday, Central Election Commission (CEC) Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva told a briefing. She said the percentage is based on the number of voters in the final versions of the voters' lists, who total 6,601,262 people.

By 11 a.m., turnout was highest in Montana, at 14.44%, and lowest in Varna, at 5.25%, Mateva said.

Mateva noted that at the previous parliamentary elections on June 9, 2024, voter turnout as at 11 a.m. was lower, at 8.34% nationwide. Back then, Montana also topped the table with 12.67%, and 24th Multimember Constituency in Sofia trailed the list with 5.44%.

The CEC said that voter turnout as of 11:00 a.m. in the current parliamentary elections was the highest compared to the previous two elections.

The CEC has been notified of decisions by constituency election commissions to halt machine voting with 35 machines, Mateva said. Seven machines have been taken away in Haskovo, and four each in Blagoevgrad and Plovdiv Region. One or two disused machines have been reported in other places, and there are constituencies where all machines continue to be used.
