The Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ABTTA) will gather representatives of 25 national associations of tour operators from European countries in Sofia on October 24 and 25 for an international forum with the participation and partnership of the State and the municipalities of Sofia and Plovdiv, which are the two largest in the country, the Association said.

This is the largest and most prestigious event for Bulgaria ever organized by the European Committee of Tour Operators and Travel Agents Associations (ECTAA) - an organization uniting tour operators of Europe. No meeting in recent years has seen so much interest, ECTAA said. The organiser of the two-day forum is ABTTA, the only representative of Bulgaria in the international structure uniting tour operators on the Old Continent.

The main partner in hosting the event is the Ministry of Tourism together with the Municipality of Sofia and the Municipality of Plovdiv. This is the best example of interaction of business with state and local authorities for the benefit of Bulgarian tourism, said ABTTA.

The meeting is the culmination of a series of events organized in the framework of 2024, in which Bulgaria was named "Preferred Destination" by ECTAA. This has brought this country undeniable prestige and put it in the focus of attention of the European tourism professional elite. The agreement for this was signed by the Ministry of Tourism and ECTAA at the beginning of the current year 2024, ABTTA recalled.
