The average social security income in Bulgaria for August 2024 was BGN 1,642.10, the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) said in a press release on Tuesday. 

The average monthly social security income for the country for the period from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024 was BGN 1,592.43. 

The determined average monthly social security income for the country for the said period is used in calculating the newly granted pensions in September 2024 in accordance with Article 70, para. 3 of the Social Insurance Code, the NSSI noted.

The amount of the country's average social security income for July 2024 was BGN 1,637.15.
