Three-time European women's doubles badminton champions Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva got off to a winning start at the Olympic Games in Paris on Saturday.
Nga Ting Yeung and Pui Lam Yeung (Hong Kong) won their first Group B match 21:11, 21:23, 21:15 in 75 minutes.
The match was watched by the President Rumen Radev and his wife Desislava Radeva.
In the other group match, Sheng Shu Liu and Ning Tan (China) defeated Annie Xu and Kerry Xu (USA) 21:11, 21:14.
The top two duos from each group advance to the quarterfinals.
In their next match on July 28, the Bulgarians will play against Sheng Shu Liu and Ning Tan.
