Speaking to reporters before the National Council of Continue the Change (CC) on Saturday, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) floor leader Nikolay Denkov said that the 50th Parliament is like quicksand - war in the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), a break-up in the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), a disintegrated Velichie (Grandeur party). CC’s National Council is expected to take decisions regarding the second government-forming exploratory mandate.
The coalition will receive the second exploratory government forming mandate after the parliamentary group of MRF expelled 17 MPs and is no longer the second largest political force in the National Assembly.
"The processes in MRF will have a very serious impact on GERB, as well. We have repeatedly said that there are people closely related to [MRF chair Delyan] Peevski, so the outcome of the war between Peevski and [MRF Honorary Chair Ahmed] Dogan will have an impact on GERB", Denkov argued.
"All this makes the situation very unstable, and I think it would be a complete illusion for anyone to try to form a stable government", Denkov stressed, adding that CC and DB have made a plan that aims to achieve the maximum in this difficult environment.
The plan will be discussed and presented in the coming days.
