The participants in the largest for the year exercise of the Bulgarian Armed Forces Special Forces with international participation, Stealth Dagger 24, will demonstrate capabilities at the Tsrancha training complex on Thursday, the Defence Ministry said on Wednesday. The demonstration will be attended by Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
Various operational procedures rehearsed during the exercise will be demonstrated. The attendees will be able to observe vehicle interception with the help of tactical dogs and the infiltration of Special Forces operators by parachute and by helicopter using the fast-roping technique. A Special Forces platoon will perform helicopter evacuation and dynamic shooting drills with a pistol and rifle at close ranges, among others.
During the Stealth Dagger 24 exercise, the combat capabilities of two Joint Special Operations Command special operations tactical groups are assessed simultaneously against the standards of NATO Allied Command Operations. The units will be certified for duty within the new NATO force model, the Defense Ministry’s press release said.
