Floor Leader Borislav Gutsanov Friday told reporters the BSP for Bulgaria parliamentary group would submit two motions: against sending Bulgarian troops to Ukraine and against the use of Bulgarian weapons supplied to Ukraine in Russian territory.

BSP for Bulgaria is going to submit bills on a 9% cut in VAT on medicines from 20% now, amendments to the Pre-school and School Education Act and the Volunteering Bill. "We will also propose tax exemption for people aged up to 26, and amendments to increase the benefits for raising the first, second and third child," Gutsanov said.

Asked if the proposal for a resolution against sending Bulgarian troops to Ukraine would be made in the context of the July 9-11 NATO Summit in Washington, DC, he said BSP for Bulgaria has never wanted this country to be involved in any way in the conflict in Ukraine. This has been a consistent position of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Gutsanov said, recalling that two years ago the party proposed peace talks to be held in Bulgaria.
