Three representatives of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) participated in the 59th meeting of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The Bulgarian delegates were Gabriela Naplatanova, Simona Veleva and Prolet Velkova, CEM said here on Thursday.

The ERPA meeting was attended by 140 delegates from 50 national regulatory authorities, Naplatanova said in a report. In her words, the meeting focused on media literacy in an election environment and the use of artificial intelligence to help media regulation. The specific part of the Rotterdam meeting was elections’ analysis and monitoring, she added.

CEM is also committed to hold in the very near future a meeting on how the European Media Freedom Act will be applied in Bulgaria and its media market, Naplatanova said.
