In a few days Vazrazhdane will send its first delegation to the European Parliament (EP) and will fight for at least 50 seats in the Bulgarian Parliament, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov said at the closing of the election campaign at a meeting with members and supporters in Sofia.

He noted that ten years after the establishment of the party, the President of the European Commission as well as the President of the European People's Party spoke about Vazrazhdane. "True, they don't speak well, but if these people speak well of us, I would be worried," Kostadinov added. In his words, Vazrazhdane is not a threat to Europe, but to the current European Union. 

"We are going to the EP to cure Europe of the disease that has afflicted it," he said, noting that they have no intention of adapting.

Regarding the Bulgarian Parliament, Kostadinov commented that his party is waging a "national liberation struggle" there. "Three years ago we vacated 13 seats, two years ago - 27 seats, one year ago - 37 seats, now we have to vacate at least 50 seats," he said. 

According to him, there is a panic that Vazrazhdane will not just be a second political force, but can be close behind the first one.
