On the eve of the European Parliament elections in Denmark, Copenhagen residents are willing to stop and talk to BTA about the political issues they find important, but refuse to stand in front of a camera.

"There is a war going on in Europe at the moment, so security and defence policies come first," said one Copenhagen resident. The topic of investments in the country's defence capabilities and the European Union's actions in the context of the war in Ukraine often came up in conversations with residents of the Danish capital.

The fight against climate problems was also among the most frequently discussed topics, which Copenhagen residents identified to BTA as being of key importance to them.

Some Danes expressed their dissatisfaction with excessive interference of the European Union in domestic issues in member states. "Excessive regulations make processes more complicated, not more efficient," said one local.

The fight against illegal migration and the drive for economic growth were also touched upon.
