A total of 295 case files and 85 pre-trial proceedings have been opened in connection with violations of the political rights of citizens from the beginning of the election campaign in Bulgaria for the European Parliament and National Parliament elections until June 7, the prosecution service said on Friday.

The largest number of pre-trial proceedings is in Sofia (29), followed by Burgas (26), Varna (20), Veliko Tarnovo (7) and Plovdiv (3). In the Supreme Prosecutor's Office, a unit of prosecutors and staff has been formed to process the information received from the prosecution offices throughout the country.

A national interdepartmental unit also continues to function, coordinating the activities of the prosecution service, the Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security.

Citizens and organizations can submit reports to the email addresses of the relevant prosecutor's offices, which are also published on the prosecutor's office website.
