Movement 21 leader Tatyana Doncheva believes that political power should be in the hands of independent people, experienced politicians who can make decisions in the best interests of working people. Movement 21 is a member of The Left! Coalition.

Presenting the coalition's list of election candidates in the Sliven constituency, Doncheva said the unification of the left wing was almost complete when Vanya Grigorova came along and divided it. Those who fund Grigorova's campaign as leader of the Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition stand to gain from such division, Doncheva argued.

According to The Left!, Bulgaria should retain its position in the field of energy by keeping up the Belene nuclear power plant project. The coalition's political programme includes introducing progressive tax on personal income, anticipatory increase of the minimum wage and the minimum pension by 5% every year, and accessible education, healthcare and quality food.

Penyo Penev, the top-of-the-list candidate of The Left! in Sliven, said: "We are people of decent professional experience, and we believe we can resuscitate the dialogue between left-wing forces and voters." Penev is an expert in security and international protection.
