Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova addressed supporters at an election campaign event in Shumen (Northeastern Bulgaria) on Wednesday evening.

"We did not betray you, we did not sell out, we did not trade the party to serve our personal interest. We remained the only alternative to what has been happening in Bulgaria for the last 15 years. We remained the only alternative to the parallel state, to the backstage, to the ‘assemblages’. And no matter what it cost us, and it cost us a lot, we did not stop. And we will keep going. We will not betray you, and we will not sell out, because we have an ideal. We have an ideal for a decent Bulgaria in a peaceful Europe," Ninova said.

During the event held at Arena Shumen, the coalition presented its top-of-the-list candidates for the June 9 snap parliamentary elections, along with its MEP candidates for the European elections.
