site.btaMRF Leader Urges Minister to Protect LB Bulgaricum from Deliberate Bankruptcy

In a statement on Tuesday, Delyan Peevski, one of the two leaders of the Movement for Right and Freedoms (MRF) urged the caretaker Economy Minister Tuesday to protect the state-run LB Bulgaricum from deliberate bankruptcy. According to Peevski, caretaker Minister Petko Nikolov should take immediate and decisive action to protect the only state-owned enterprise producing dairy products and starter cultures from liquidation and bankruptcy, as well as to conduct an active dialogue with the protesting workers from the production base in Vidin.

The Minister should prevent the attempts of yet another political appointment of Continue the Change - director Ivaylo Lilov, an associate of failed economy minister Bogdan Bogdanov, to lead to bankruptcy and liquidation the successful company, added Peevski.

In dialogue with trade unions, the state should ensure the preservation of jobs, the improvement of working conditions, the increase in workers' wages and the modernization of the production base, Peevski said.
