One of the two leaders of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), Delyan Peevski, calls for immediate reaction and actions from the caretaker Transport and Interior Ministers regarding the tension created at the Vidin checkpoint on the border with Romania. Kilometers-long queues are formed at the border crossing, with trucks staying there for 17-20 hours, and this severely hinders the transportation of goods to Western Europe, the MRF press centre said here on Wednesday.
Peevski urged caretaker Transport Minister Georgi Gvozdeikov and caretaker Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov to get personally involved in solving the problem by contacting their Romanian counterparts.
The executive power is responsible to ensure conditions and assistance for business by implementing European standards and policies, the MRF leader said.
