site.btaDefence Minister Zapryanov: Bulgarian Armed Forces, Particularly Land Forces, Are Seriously Undermanned
The Bulgarian Armed Forces, particularly the Land Forces, are seriously undermanned, caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov told journalists here on Wednesday. "There are some which are at 65%," he commented.
The Interdepartmental Council on Defence Industry and Supply Security will be convened within days, he said. The Council's composition has already been updated, Zapryanov specified. The institution will review the accumulated over 100 files from companies.
The Minister also said that the aid for Ukraine is progressing as scheduled.
In Pazardzhik, Zapryanov visited the Ivan Aksakov High School, where he talked with pupils about the history and traditions of the Bulgarian Army.
